The last days of September 2026 were about the first thing new visitors see. The game had changed enormously since March; the front page of the website had not kept up. So we rebuilt it — and then wrote this diary, so that the story behind the game would finally be public.
A new homepage
The new homepage opens on a floodlit stadium in a city at dusk, with a slowly turning globe showing the countries where ManageFC managers have founded their clubs. Below it, eight cards each open a small window into one part of the game — founding your club, the tactics board, the badge designer, scouting, the transfer market, developing the club, climbing the pyramid and building a legacy over the years.
We learned quickly that a beautiful page is not enough on its own. A first-time visitor needs to understand, in plain words, what the game is: a single-player football management game where your world waits for you, where you start in division 3 and climb, and where nothing can be bought during the open beta. So the homepage now explains that underneath the visuals, with real screenshots and links to the chapters of the guide that matter most on your first day.
This blog
The blog is the other half of the same idea. The game's public pages explain how it works; the blog explains how it got here and why. The development timeline places every diary entry on the month it describes, from the first version online in March to this week.
We will keep writing: deep dives into the simulation, design notes, guides, and an honest record of what changes in the open beta.
Where we stand
ManageFC today is a complete single-player football management game in open beta: private worlds built from 211 countries, a match engine you can watch or step into, a 245-day season with promotion and relegation, transfers, scouting, a youth academy, finances, a board, press conferences and a 3D stadium with your crest on the pitch. It is free, and payments stay switched off until the game is stable enough to deserve them.
What we are working on
We prefer to describe what we are building rather than promise dates. These are the things we are working on now:
- Stadium and facility upgrades, rebuilt so that their costs and benefits make sense from the bottom of the pyramid to the top.
- An economy for small clubs, so that one day a career can start in division 10.
- Showing the opponent's style on the tactics screen, where you choose your own.
- The club building, rebuilt from the stadium outwards, with the dressing room inside it.
- Optional multiplayer leagues for small groups of friends, later — the single-player game stays free.
Thank you for reading this far. If you have played ManageFC at any point since March, you are part of this story. If you have not yet, the best way to understand it is to found a club and press the button that moves time.
