Not every month in a game's life has a headline. July 2026 was mostly about making what already existed more solid, and three of its changes are worth telling because they shaped everything that came after.
Every change on record
At the end of July we started keeping a complete, dated history of every change to the game. It sounds like a small administrative step. In practice it means every fix has a date, a description and a way back if something goes wrong — and it is the reason this diary can be written with dates attached.
A save wizard that finishes what it starts
While your new world is being built, the save is in a preparation state; once your club is ready, it becomes active. At the end of July we found that the wizard could complete every step and still leave a save in preparation. You could see your club, but parts of the game treated your world as unfinished. We fixed it the same day.
A world builder that recovers on its own
Building a new world is the heaviest thing ManageFC does, so it happens in two stages: a quick one of around fifteen seconds, after which your save is playable and the dashboard opens, and a second one that finishes the remaining leagues, cups and fixtures in the background. You can close the tab and come back; the work carries on.
The weak spot was an interruption on our side in the middle of that work. A world could be left half-built, waiting for a job that would never finish. We made the builder pick up unfinished worlds by itself and start them cleanly again, without ever creating anything twice.
A trade-off we reversed later
The last change of July is one we are less proud of, and it matters for a later chapter. The routine that lets AI clubs choose their tactics — formation, style, pressing — had become too slow as the number of worlds grew. To keep time skips fast, we switched it off.
For several weeks, AI clubs played with default tactics. Nobody complained, which is itself a warning sign: the tactical variety we were proud of was not really reaching the matches. In September we rebuilt that routine so that it only works on your own world, and switched it back on — the story of AI clubs finally choosing their tactics.
Why quiet months matter
The features you notice depend on the ones you do not. Everything that follows in this diary — a new season calendar, live matches, the engine recalibration — rests on the foundations laid in July.
