Right now
The game is running. The last time advance finished 16 minutes ago (27 Oct 2026, 06:40 UTC). In the last 24 hours managers advanced time 350 times and played 3,417 game days, and none of those advances failed.
These figures are counted from the game’s own records and refreshed every minute; last checked 27 Oct 2026, 06:57 UTC. Early in the morning in Europe the numbers are low simply because few people are playing.
Where the game runs
ManageFC runs on servers in the European Union, in Germany, and your saves and account data stay there. The few outside services the site uses — sign-in providers, analytics, payments once they are switched on and advertising on the public reading pages — are listed with what each one receives in the Privacy Policy.
Each career is a private world that only moves when its manager presses the button, so there is no background clock that can run away from you. The Online league is the exception: its matchdays kick off for everyone at once, at 20:00 UTC.
Updates are released in small steps, usually several a week during the open beta. When an update needs the game to restart we wait until no time advance and no new world is being built, so a restart never cuts a season in half. Longer maintenance is announced in the game and on Discord first.
What went wrong before, and what we changed
Every outage and serious bug since the first version, newest first. Each one has its own account in the development diary.
- 10 October 2026Matches stopped in new careers for most of a day
After the careers reset of 9 October, matches in new careers could not be played: the calendar moved on, but no games took place. It was fixed the same day, every missed league and cup match was then played, and squads, finances and clubs were left as they were. Since then a real match is played on the server after every change to the match engine, before it reaches players.
- October 2026The game closed for a few days to rebuild careers
After the reset we found matches that would not play, accounts that did not add up and amateur clubs carrying costs no amateur club could pay. Instead of patching them one by one, we closed the game and rebuilt the rules of a career: a real calendar, a new economy and every career starting in division 10.
ManageFC 3.0: why we closed the game → - September 2026Matchdays that hesitated
Now and then several results tried to update the same league table at the same moment and got in each other’s way, so some matches finished on a second attempt. Nothing was lost, but busy matchdays were slower. We changed the order in which matches are completed.
The day the league tables froze → - August 2026Some new managers arrived without a club — and registration stopped for ten minutes
Under certain conditions a new world was created before the club it was meant to contain. While fixing it, registration itself was broken for about ten minutes. A check of the whole sign-up path now runs after every update.
When registration broke — a post-mortem → - May 2026Time stood still
Days after private worlds went live, pressing “advance” did nothing. The cause was a single calculation, and behind it sixteen daily routines the new time engine had never been asked to run. Found and fixed on 18 May 2026.
