The player guide and the wiki are where we explain how ManageFC works. For months they were written the way most game guides are: helpful in tone, light on detail. "Rotate your squad to avoid fatigue." "Pressing works better with fit players." True enough — and not much use when you are deciding whether to rest your striker on Saturday.
In late September 2026 we rewrote them, chapter by chapter, with one aim: every piece of advice backed by the number the game actually uses.
What "real numbers" means
Here are a few of the things the guide and wiki now say precisely:
- A player's attributes are multiplied by his condition: at 70% condition he plays at 88% of his ability; at 50%, at 80%.
- A match costs every player who appears 8 to 15 condition, and recovery is 3 a day for anyone fit.
- Morale is worth 1.2% of every attribute per point away from neutral — a squad at morale 10 is 6% better than at 5.
- Formations are matched against each other, worth up to ±4% of a team's strength; the wiki lists every pairing.
- A loan of exactly 10 million costs 1.2 million in interest; borrowing 10.1 million costs over 1.8 million, because the rate steps up above ten million.
- Board confidence moves +3 for a win, +5 for a win by three goals, −4 for a defeat and −8 for a third defeat in a row — and nothing else moves it.
Removing what was not true
Rewriting with numbers has a useful side effect: it exposes sentences that cannot be backed up. Whenever we could not find the mechanism behind a claim, the claim went. Some of those were small exaggerations; a few described features that had been planned and never finished. The same rule applied as in our website audit: if we have not measured it, we do not say it.
Written for players, not for us
The other change was tone. The first drafts read a little like technical documentation — accurate, but written for someone who already knows how the game works inside. We rewrote them for a manager deciding what to do this week: the number first, then what it means for your squad, then a short routine you can follow.

Keeping it true
A guide that was true in September can be wrong by November if the game changes and the text does not. So every time we change a system, the matching guide and wiki pages are part of the same change — and the "More from the wiki" links on each article now point to related articles from different topics, so you can follow a thread across the game.
