Football finance is full of big numbers, and big numbers are only useful when you can feel them. A weekly wage of 20,000 reads very differently depending on whether you think in euros, pounds or reais, and whether you usually think about salaries per week, per month or per year. In May 2026 we let every manager choose.
One base, many displays
Inside the game, every amount is stored in a single base currency: US dollars. That never changes, and it keeps the simulation consistent — a player's value, a sponsorship deal and a prize fund are always comparable, whatever you choose to see.
What you choose is the display:
- Currency — 31 options, from the dollar, euro and pound to the real, peso, yen, rupee, lira, złoty and rand.
- Expense period — weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. Wages are paid weekly in the simulation; choosing "monthly" multiplies what you see by 4.33, "quarterly" by 13 and "annual" by 52.
Where it applies
The setting follows you across the screens where money matters: the finance hub, the dashboard balance, player wages in the squad list, contract details on each player, staff salaries and transfer fees. You can set it during onboarding or change it later in your club settings, under the Economy tab.

What it does not change
It is worth being precise, because money displays are easy to misread:
- Nothing about your finances changes. Switching from dollars to euros does not make you richer or poorer; it only converts what you see.
- The simulation does not use real exchange rates to decide anything. A club in Brazil and a club in England are compared in the same base unit.
- MFC Coin, the cosmetic currency, is separate. It has no symbol on purpose, is never converted, and has no real-world value. We explain it in cosmetics without pay-to-win.
A small fix with a lesson
When we first rolled the setting out, one of the six screens kept showing the old format. A part of the update had simply not made it into the live game. Since then, every update finishes with a check that everything we changed is really live — a boring step that has caught more than one surprise.
Why it matters for the game
Managing money is half of managing a club. In ManageFC, a season lasts 245 in-game days — 35 weekly pulses rather than 52 — so a wage of 20,000 a week costs roughly 700,000 over a season. Reading that in the unit you think in is the difference between a comfortable signing and one that sinks next season. The finance guide has the full picture.
