Four new parts of a career in ManageFC 3.0 are about the long run: what you aim for, who runs the team, how a season ends, and what happens when the money runs out.
Your objectives for the season
At the start of each season you tell the board what you aim for. You choose up to three objectives, one per area: the league (win it, go up, finish in the top half, stay out of the bottom five), the national cup (the round you will reach), money (end the season with more than you started, or never go over the bank limit), building works, the academy, or the strength of your squad.
The board judges them in May, on the real results: the final table, your cup run, your accounts, the works you finished and the players you promoted. Each objective met raises the board's confidence, each one missed lowers it. If you have not chosen any by the first league match, the board chooses for you — based on how strong your squad is.
A head coach in charge of the team
Once you have hired a head coach, you can hand over the team from the dashboard. From then on the coach picks the team, the tactics and the training, and your matches are played without you. You stay the director: money, transfers, staff, the ground and the academy are still yours. The team pages show that the coach is in charge, and you can take the team back at any moment.
How the team plays depends on the coach. A good tactician gets more out of the same players than a poor one, so who you hire matters.
The end of a season
When the last league match is played, the season ends — and you see it. Champions and promoted clubs get a celebration, a relegation feels like one, and a quiet season is shown for what it was. The review shows your final position, points, record, goals and prize money, and the board's verdict on each of your objectives. It appears once, the first time you open the game after the season ends. Your inbox has the full story: the result, the prize, the players retiring and the board's decision.
When the money runs out
Debt now has consequences. The bank lets you go into the red up to a limit, with interest. If your balance stays below zero, you are warned after six months, after nine months and after eleven months. A full year in the red, and the club is bankrupt: the career ends. You can still read everything that led there in your inbox, and start a new career when you are ready.
