๐ What are Eternal Cards
Eternal Cards are virtual cosmetic collectibles inside ManageFC. Each card is a single record on your account โ an entry in our database with a rarity, a theme, a drop date and the save it came from. They exist purely so you can show off the rare drops, the long runs and the unusual moments you accumulated while playing. They have no gameplay effect. They do not boost your team, your finances, your scouting or any in-match stat. They are decorations.
We use the word eternal because cards do not expire, decay, get consumed, or vanish when you start a new save. They persist across season rollovers, world resets, save archives and game version upgrades. The only thing that removes a card is deleting your account.
Think of them as the digital equivalent of a printed sticker album left at home โ they remind you of the games you played, the players you grew through your academy, and the leagues you survived. If that idea sounds like nothing more than a decorative collection, that is exactly what we intended.
๐ฒ How to obtain them
Eternal Cards are rare drops on top of normal game activity. You never have to buy them and the loot boxes that include them as a possible outcome can also be earned through play. The main sources are:
- High-tier loot boxes from the Shop โ Epic, Legendary and Mythic tiers all roll on the Eternal Card table. Lower-tier boxes do not. Each opening is an independent roll; previous outcomes do not change the next one.
- Achievement unlocks โ completing certain long-form achievements (cup hat-tricks, unbeaten seasons, youth-only promotions, multi-decade career milestones) grants a guaranteed card of a fixed tier.
- Open Beta participation โ exclusive Beta Backer cards (see below) are reserved for accounts that played during this beta phase.
- Seasonal events โ occasional limited-time events (cup finals, anniversary weekends, milestone updates) include event-themed drops.
Drop rates are intentionally transparent. The rarity tier breakdown below shows the approximate odds for each tier inside a high-tier loot box. Achievement and event cards bypass the roll system entirely โ the tier is fixed for those rewards. No purchase is ever required to earn cards; the entire achievement track is free, the events are free, and the loot boxes themselves can be acquired without spending real money during Open Beta, when payments are disabled anyway.
For the full list of card-eligible achievements and event timings, see the in-game Wiki and the Inventory page, which records the source of every card on your account so you always know where it came from.
๐ Rarity tiers
Every Eternal Card belongs to one of five rarity tiers. Each tier has a distinct frame, glow, particle effect and reveal animation. There is no power difference between tiers โ Diamond cards do not perform better in a match than Bronze ones, because cards have no gameplay effect at all. The tiers exist only as visual collectible categories.
Drop rates shown above describe the distribution inside the high-tier loot box pool, not the overall odds of getting any card at all from a session. The vast majority of loot box openings do not produce an Eternal Card; when they do, the rarity is rolled against the table above. Achievement and event cards have a fixed tier defined in advance and are listed transparently in the Wiki.
๐จ Card themes
Every card belongs to a theme โ a visual and narrative category. ManageFC uses entirely procedural world data (no real-world player names, no real-world clubs, no real-world stadiums), so every theme is built from imagined concepts the engine generates. None of the artwork is licensed from real people, leagues or venues.
Themes are added over time. New theme drops are announced in the in-game inbox and on Discord. Older cards are not removed when new themes arrive; they keep their original visual identity forever.
๐๏ธ Where they show
Eternal Cards are visible in three places inside ManageFC. They never appear in the middle of a match, in tactics, in finance or anywhere that would interrupt gameplay.
You decide which cards are pinned and which sit in your inventory. The pinning interface lives inside the Inventory page; changes apply immediately and can be reverted at any time.
โญ Beta Backer cards
During Open Beta, every account that creates a save and plays at least one match becomes eligible for the Beta Backer card series โ a small, fixed-tier collection that exists only to acknowledge the players who showed up during the rough early phase of the game. It is not sold. It cannot be earned later. Once Open Beta ends, the series closes and no further Beta Backer cards are ever issued, including to new sign-ups.
Beta Backer cards carry a small "BETA" inscription on the frame and reference the year of the beta. They are otherwise identical to standard cosmetic cards: no gameplay effect, no resale, no real-world value. We mention this because we want to be honest about scarcity โ yes, this set will be smaller than future sets; no, that does not give the cards monetary value. They are simply unrepeatable because the moment that produced them does not repeat.
Eligibility is determined automatically based on activity already recorded in your account. There is no opt-in, no payment, no Discord verification step. If you played the beta, the cards arrive in your inventory when Open Beta closes.
๐ผ Trading & permanence
During Open Beta, Eternal Cards are not tradable in any form. No peer-to-peer transfer, no gifting, no marketplace listing, no cross-account exchange. Every card is locked to the account that received it. This is a deliberate choice for the beta period; it removes any incentive to treat cards as financial instruments while we shape the rest of the systems around them.
After v1, we may introduce limited trading โ possibly within friend lists, possibly with a lock period (for example, a card must be on your account for N days before it can be traded). The final design is still open and will be discussed publicly before any change. If trading is ever added, it will be cosmetic-only trading โ no money, no real-world payments and no third-party marketplaces involved.
Permanence works the other direction too: nothing can remove a card from your accountexcept deleting the account itself. World resets, season rollovers, save archives, save deletes, club rebrands and procedural reseeds all leave your card collection untouched. The cards belong to the account, not the save.
๐ผ๏ธ Display & showcase
To showcase a card, open Inventory, pick the card and choose its destination slot โ club wall, manager profile, or public club page. The animation runs automatically when a visitor hovers over the pinned slot. Higher-tier cards have a longer cinematic and a sound cue you can mute from settings.
You can also export a still image of any card for sharing on social media. The exported image includes the card frame, the rarity badge and a small ManageFC watermark โ nothing personal, no account identifiers โ so you can post it without leaking any data you would not want public.
๐ Transparency & disclosure
We want there to be no ambiguity about what Eternal Cards are and are not, so this section repeats it in plain language:
- Eternal Cards are virtual cosmetic items stored on our servers.
- They have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards, cryptocurrencies, tokens, in-game currency, or any other tradable asset.
- They are not NFTs and have no blockchain component. There is no token contract, no public ledger, no wallet integration.
- They cannot be resold on any third-party platform. Any account or website claiming to sell or trade Eternal Cards is unauthorised; we will not honour such transactions.
- They have no gameplay effect. They do not improve your team, your finances, your scouting, your stadium, your morale, your tactics, or any other gameplay system.
- They are not an investment product. Their availability, drop rates and visual design may change over time at the discretion of the development team.
Loot boxes that contain Eternal Cards always disclose their drop tables before purchase or opening. Drop rates are also published in the in-game Wiki. We never hide odds, never use surprise mechanics without disclosure, and never use language that suggests cards are valuable beyond decoration.
