The inbox used to be two things that did not talk to each other: a list of notifications and a "crisis room" full of choices. Worse, a lot of what happened at your club never reached either. You could sign a player, or fail to, and hear nothing about it. In ManageFC 3.0 the inbox is the heart of the game.
One message for every real event
Every event at your club now produces one message — and only real events do. Some examples of what arrives:
- the result of every match, with what it meant: points, a cup tie won or lost, your share of the gate;
- the monthly accounts, and how your players developed that month;
- works on your ground that start, and the day they finish;
- a bid you sent, the answer you got, the player you signed — or the one who said no;
- staff you hire, or fail to hire;
- a contract with one year left, a contract about to expire, and the day it does;
- injuries and recoveries, the youth intake, a player promoted from the academy;
- the cup draw, the transfer windows opening and closing, the board's verdict on your season.
Each message comes from the person who would tell you: your head coach writes about results and development, your Vice-Director about money and the club, your scout about players. If you have nobody in that role yet, the Vice-Director covers for them.
A mailbox you can work with
Messages are sorted into ten colour-coded categories — squad, youth, transfers, staff, finance, infrastructure, stadium, competitions, board and system — so you can see at a glance what kind of news it is. You can filter by category, search, sort by date or priority, star what matters, archive what is done and delete what you do not need. Important messages are marked, and the bell at the top of the game shows what you have not read yet.
Give your staff a job
The inbox works both ways. Press Write to staff and ask for a job: a shortlist of players for a position, a report on one player, a report on your next opponent, an assessment of your squad, a fitness report, the academy's best prospects, the club accounts or a plan for your next building works. The member of staff confirms, and a few days later the report arrives in your inbox, written from real data. From a player's profile, Ask our scout opens the request already filled in.
If nobody at the club can do the job, the Vice-Director tells you so, and you know who to hire.
Friends stay separate
Messages with other managers — your Friends lobbies — have their own tab in the same page, apart from the club's mail. Nothing from your club gets mixed with your conversations.
