Time skip & the tick engine
Chapter 5 of 21 · see all chapters
⏰ Time in ManageFC only moves when you tell it to. The tick engine accepts a target date (up to 365 days into the future per tick) and runs every periodic job between the current game date and the target, in order, before returning control. This means a +30 day skip will simulate every fixture on the calendar, every training session, every injury recovery, every transfer rumour, every board confidence drift, every press conference and every wage payment for those 30 days — and then move your game date forward and refresh the dashboard.
Every tick walks the same ordered pipeline for your save. Daily: the fixtures that fall inside the window, injury recovery, condition recovery for anyone below full, player ageing (each tick day adds 12/365 of a month), board confidence drifting slowly toward neutral, crisis expiry and generation (intentionally rare), the AI market topping up and listing players, transfer-proposal expiries and AI bids, a market-value refresh, a news sweep and a rumour pulse. Weekly — once for every Monday the tick crosses — a single bundle runs wages, sponsors and commercial income through the finance pulse, then training, player development, mentoring, squad dynamics, stadium pricing effects, the staff market, the weekly morale tick and player agents. There is no separate monthly layer: everything periodic is daily or weekly, and the season rollover closes the 245-day cycle.
Using time-skip well
- Press +1 Day for a quick check — useful right after setting tactics, to see the next morning report.
- Press +3 Days when nothing urgent is pending — the engine will roll through fixtures, training and the weekly checks.
- The engine itself accepts a target date up to 365 days ahead; the interface currently exposes +1 and +3 day steps, with longer skips under final tuning.
- Once a skip starts it runs to the end, because the whole window is applied in order — choose the length before you press.
