Inbox & notifications
Chapter 17 of 21 · see all chapters
🔔 The inbox has two tabs. Notifications is the main stream — match results, injury reports, transfer offers, contract talks, press invitations, board messages, scout reports, financial alerts and academy news. Crises is the separate stream for the forced-decision events the generator creates: the ones that present you with a situation and a set of choices. Every message carries one of three priorities — normal, important or urgent — and urgent messages sort to the top of the list.
The engine caps urgent messages at 3 per user per rolling 24 hours. The fourth and every later message that would have been urgent arrives downgraded to important instead. It is a deliberate anti-fatigue rule: a chaotic day in your save can hand you at most three red-alert items, never a wall of them. Messages are built from a fixed template library, so the same event always arrives in the same shape — recognisable at a glance.
Nine filters shape the list: all, unread, match, transfer, finance, training, injury, board and cup, each with a live count. Messages that need action carry a button straight to the page where you act on it, and any message can be deleted individually. What the inbox does not offer in the current build is starring, pinning, archiving or per-category muting — the filters are the only way to shape the stream, and there is no notifications section in settings.
Inbox discipline
- Check it after every time-skip — results, injuries and board reactions all land together.
- Work the filters rather than the scroll: injury and board first, then the rest.
- Use the action button on messages that carry one — it takes you to squad, transfers or the board directly.
- Delete what has no future value. Old match reports pile up fastest.
- Glance at the Crises tab after a long absence: those are the events that are waiting for a decision, not a notification.
