The time-skip button is the engine of ManageFC. Nothing in your world happens until you press it, and when you do, the game plays out every day between today and the date you chose — in order, without shortcuts. This is what happens inside those days.
One or three days at a time
The game moves forward one day or three days at a time. The clock never runs past one of your own fixtures: it stops on the morning of your next match and waits for you to play it live or take the instant result. Between matches, a couple of presses move you through the week.
Every day
Each day the game works through the same list, for every club in your world:
- matches scheduled for that day are played — in every league, including the ones you never look at;
- injuries heal a little, and condition recovers — 3 points a day for anyone fit;
- every player ages;
- the board's confidence settles after recent results;
- the transfer market moves: AI clubs list players, make and answer bids, and offers that were not answered in time expire;
- player values are updated, and the news and rumours of the day are written.
Every week
Once for every Monday the skip crosses, a weekly bundle runs:
- the finance pulse pays wages and staff, and collects sponsorship, TV money and commercial income;
- training is applied, with player development and mentoring;
- squad dynamics and the weekly morale update settle;
- stadium pricing takes effect;
- new staff appear on the market, and player agents make their moves.
There is no separate monthly layer: everything regular is either daily or weekly, and the season rollover closes each 245-day season.
Why it always stops on match day
We could let you skip a month in one press, and the engine is capable of it. But a management game where your own matches happen while you are not looking stops being a management game. Stopping on match day guarantees you always get the chance to set your team — and then you choose whether to watch.
Why some skips take longer
A skip that crosses a Monday runs the weekly bundle for every club in your world, and a skip that crosses a busy matchday plays every match in every league you included. A small world of a few leagues moves in seconds; a world of forty leagues does more work. If you want faster days, a world with fewer leagues is the answer — though many managers find the larger worlds worth the wait.
Nothing while you are away
If you do not press the button, nothing happens. Your players do not age, contracts do not run down, the market does not move. Close the game for a week or a season — your world will be exactly where you left it.
The time skip guide has the full routine, and why the button got six times faster in August tells the story behind its speed.
