Online league — every manager’s club, one pyramid
How the Online league works: the pyramid, the 20:00 UTC matchday, team sheets, promotion and relegation, ratings and honours.
The Online league is where your career club meets every other manager's club. It is not a separate team: each club plays exactly as it is in its owner's career — the same squad, the same tactics, the same strength. The further a career has gone, the stronger that club arrives. Nothing that happens Online is written back into a career, so a bad night costs no points, money or players in your own world.
The pyramid
Divisions hold 16 clubs. Tier 1 is a single division; every tier below has twice as many divisions as the one above (1, 2, 4, 8 …), and the bottom tier takes whoever is left, split into balanced divisions. Within a tier, clubs are dealt into divisions snake-wise by strength, so no division is stacked. New managers start at the bottom.
Matchday
At 19:00 UTC the team sheets lock: whatever squad and tactics your career has at that moment are the ones that play, so set them in your career before then. The matches are computed when the sheets lock and revealed live from 20:00 UTC — events appear at their minute, never before, so everyone watches the same night unfold at the same time. Tables, the golden boot and ratings update at full time.
Ratings and honours
Every club carries an Elo-style rating that starts at 1000 and moves after each match, more for an upset than for an expected result. Division champions are written into the hall of fame, season by season, together with the top scorers. The rating and your place in the pyramid are shown at the top of the Online page.
