Substitution plans
Automatic triggers by condition, score state and position swaps that the engine will respect.
The Substitutions tab on the Tactics page lets you pre-program changes the match engine will execute automatically. This is critical when you skip a day and don't watch the match live โ your bench actually gets used.
Condition triggers
Set a rule like "swap CM A for CM B when CM A drops below 65 condition." The engine checks at half-time and at common stoppages in the second half. Keep condition triggers conservative โ pulling a tired key player off at 65 is fine; pulling him at 80 wastes a substitution slot.
Score-state triggers
- Holding a lead โ swap an attacking winger for a defensive midfielder around minute 70.
- Chasing a deficit โ swap a defensive midfielder for a second striker after minute 65.
- Drawing โ bring on fresh legs in midfield late if you need a winner; bring on a fresh CB if a draw is acceptable.
Position swaps
You can chain a substitution with a position swap โ for example, bring on a CB and shift your DM into the back line, switching to a 5-4-1 to defend a lead. The engine recomputes positional weights immediately. Don't over-engineer โ a clean swap is more reliable than a four-step shape change.
Manual control
You can always intervene live if you're watching the match. Automatic plans are the floor, not the ceiling. The engine respects whichever decision is most recent. Use plans for the matches you skip past and live control for the fixtures that matter.
