Guides

Guides are practical, step-by-step posts for managers who want to get more out of their club. Each one takes a single situation — your first season, your first transfer window, a match report you are not sure how to read — and walks through it with the numbers the game actually uses.

They complement the reference material elsewhere on the site. The Game Guide covers every screen and system chapter by chapter, and the Wiki explains individual mechanics such as formations, morale, wages and youth players. The posts here are shorter and more opinionated: what we would do in your position, and why.

Guides are written against the current version of the game. When a balance change makes advice out of date, we update the post, and the date of the update appears at the top so you always know how fresh the numbers are.
