Position roles and which stats matter
GK, CB, FB, CM, Winger, Striker — what to prioritise when scouting and selecting.
Knowing what to buy means knowing what to look for. Each position in ManageFC has a handful of attributes that disproportionately drive performance. Spending big on a striker with elite pace but poor shooting will leave you with a player who arrives at chances but rarely buries them.

Role variations
Within a position, different tactical setups reward different profiles. A possession 4-3-3 demands fullbacks with passing and stamina to overlap and recycle. A counter-attacking 4-4-2 wants a striker with pace to run channels, not a static target man. Match the profile to the dial settings on your Tactics page.
Versatility
Some players list a secondary position. They keep most of their effective rating there, with a small drop on attributes the secondary role demands more of. A versatile bench is worth more than a deeper squad of specialists when you're juggling cup runs, injuries and continental fixtures in the same week.
